Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of chemical and biological measures on the growth and development of pepper seedlings and the control of phytopathogenic fungi Pythium ultimum and Rhizoctonia solani. The research was conducted in 2010 in controlled conditions (climate chamber). Pepper seedlings were inoculated with phytopatogenic fungi and the following treatments were applied: chemical preparation Previcur 607 SL (a.i. propamocarb hydrochloride), biological product TRI 003 (Trichoderma harzianum - Strain-22), biostimulator Kendal® and control. The application of the biological product TRI 003 and biostimulator Kendal® increased leaf fresh weight (20.1 g and 18.9 g) and stem fresh weight (2.81 g and 2.52 g) and was higher compared to the control and to the treatment in which chemical preparation Previcur was applied. The root weight and the number of leaves of pepper seedling were highest in the treatment with chemical preparation Previcur. The percentage of surviving plants was highest when TRI 003 and Kendal® were applied.
