Abstract
There was determined the appearance of the diseased lettuce plants with the expressed symptoms of white rot in a few greenhouses in a wider area of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina in February 2007. The percentage of the affected plants differed. In certain greenhouses it was as high as 20% which was the reason for significant economic damages in those greenhouses.
Based on the achieved results obtained by studying pathogenic, morphologic and cultivation characteristics of the three chosen isolates (Sal- 1, Sal- 3 and Sal- 5), we can conclude that they all belong to fitophatogenic fungus Sclerotinia minor Jagger – the cause of white rot on lettuce.
