Abstract

A total ad 255 young boars from four lines of the Large White was investigated by performance test from 28 to 101 kg of body weight. Young boars were fed ad libitum. During the 84-day research young boars aged 170.24 days on average realized average daily gain of 0.865 kg, food conversion of 2.51 kg and back fat thickness of 14.08 mm. Statistically significant phenotypic corelation was determined (r) among relevant indicators of young boars fattening capacity (daily gain : food conversion = 0.350**; daily gain : total food intake = - 0.380**; food conversion : fat thickness = 0.240**; food conversion : total food quantity = 0.745**; food conversion : daily food consumption = 0.450**).
