Abstract
Fruit is very important in nutrition and it represents a much demanded article and raw material on the market, because it is used in both fresh and processed condition.
Precipitation mostly don’t satisfy the needs of trees for water, therefore irrigation of orchards is necessary for optimum supply of trees with water, as well as for achieving high crops of high quality fruits.
In our country, irrigation of fruit- trees should be obligatory, because draught is a regular occurrence in summer period; it lasts for a longer or shorter period of time and often leaves serious consequences on decreasing the crops and it worsens the quality of fruits. During vegetation, the deficit of moist affects the growth of leaves, flowering, ripening and falling off the fruits, formation of flower- embryo, senescence and falling off of leaves, photosynthesis, accumulation of nutrients and wintering.
