Abstract
There has been a research of a reaction of six commercial sorts of oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) on increased concentrations of Cd in in vitro conditions. Seed of the sorts has been sterilized and set on a modified MS ground (Murashige i Skoog, 1962.) and different concentrations of Cd have been added in it. Plants have been cultivated on a temperature of 21 degrees centigrade and a photoperiod of 16:8 (light: dark). Development of plants was monitored during the period of two weeks. After the two weeks, fresh and dry mass of root and above- ground part has been measured. With all the examined genotypes, there has been a decrease in mass of root and above- ground part, in comparison to control, i.e. to plants cultivated on MS ground without Cd.
