Abstract

Osijek was famous for its typography in 18th century. Typography enabled publishing of many books that were the reflection of education, culture and life in Osijek, but also in a broader sense. Divald printing-house stood out in the second half of 18th century and in the beginning of 19th century. Printing, get up and artistic value were at the enviable level. The preserved
inventory from 1810. like printing equipment, paper and published books with monetary evaluation are the real source of information for cultural public. Stated published issues in the inventory of Divald printing-house from 1810. Is partly a new discovery, which will be valuable in evaluation of general bookselling and cultural activity and situation in Croatia.
