Abstract

The author describes a double leaf of a Croato-glagolitic breviary recently found in Novi Vinodolski. On the basis of illumination, paleographic and linguistic analysis this double leaf can be dated in the middle of the 14th century. Many paleographic and language traits, and especially illumination, connect it to the Krk glagolitic codices of the 14th century. Thus, the author assumes that the breviary to which this double leaf belonged comes from Krk or that its scribe was a Krk glagolite. This is the oldest Croato-glagolitic manuscript which can be now found in Vinodol. It is also important as an indicator of the existence of another big Croato-glagolitic breviary.
