Abstract

The company HŽ Putnički prijevoz d.o.o. is continuously working on enhancing traffic solutions in cooperation with other transport operators in City of Zagreb and local self-government as well as with government of other cities, which are providing transport services in Zagreb area. Goal is to facilitate journeys of every day passengers, offer them door-to-door transport service with no delays and minimal waiting time on station platforms, tram stops etc. Due to the enhanced number of population in city Velika Gorica and railway station situated at inadequate place, a proper solution lies within concept of new traffic organization. It is important to define stations where train sets will make their turn because existing lines needs to be reorganized. With gravity method and theoretical approach it is possible do determine projection of number of passenger in certain area. New organization will have more restrictions for road transport in traffic network of Zagreb area. Restrictions will be parking fees and monitoring of parking area e.g. increasing of the departure times (car driver) to the destination, introducing city bus to the station and improving of bike connectivity (decreasing of the access time to the train station Velika Gorica). Besides mentioned, it is necessary to coordinate good bike connectivity (bike lanes etc.) to all stations, determine train interval (30 min tact for one train between Velika Gorica and Zagreb), an integrated public transport service and integrated tariff system (with a mutual and new price for the ticket) and new intermodal stations.
