Abstract
The decision of director Quentin Tarantino to kill Adolf Hitler in his film Inglorious Basterds has sparked criticism for alleged forgery of history. However, when studying the archives of the Jewish ghetto in Poland, Swedish writer Steve Sem- Sendberg noted that fiction has started with the preservation of the first document. Had the Boston bomber not appeared on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, we could, in fact, ask the question formulated by Jean Baudrillard: Did it even happen?
