Thrips are tiny insects with typical fringed wings and the mouth for butting and sucking. Thrips can make damages in different cultures such as fruit, vegetables, ornamental plants and flowers. In tomato production thrips can transfer the Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV). Virus are exclusively vectored by infected larvae and adults follow on from such larvae. The symptoms on tomato plant vary from typically viral herbs, small fruits, colorful or painted fruits, leaves necrosis or dying of whole plants. Control of these pests can be carried out by chemical preparations, with a special care concerning resistance occurrence.
