Abstract
Two diseases of tomato leaves: early blight (Alternaria solani) and septoria spot (Septoria lycopersici) occurs wherever tomatoes are grown. Both diseases are transmitted infected tomato seeds and cause similar symptoms. Due to climate change and global warming increasingly we find symptoms early blight (Alternaria solani), especially in the cultivation tomatoes in open fields. Primary infection is generally caused by the fungus in the soil and occurs during periods of mild (24-29°C), rainy weather, although in warm climates the disease may be active at higher temperatures (28-34°C). Tomato cultivars susceptible to leaf spots must be treated with registered protective fungicide sprays at regular intervals during the growing season. The most effective fungicides for early blight control in experiments were strobilurins and difenconazole.
