Abstract
According to present observation in Croatia, fungal diseases of olive, which have minor occurrence, are leaf blight of olive (Marthamyces panizzei), powdery mildew of olive (Leveillula taurica), shoot necrosis of olive (Phoma incompta), leaf spot (Pseudocercospora cladosporioides) and olive fruit anthracnose (Colletotrichum spp., syn. Gloeosporium olivarum). Sooty moulds of olive is also considered to be "disease" which manifests as appearance of epiphytic fungi on olive leaves and therefore cannot be literally regarded as disease since the appearance of sooty moulds results from attacks of some insects. Diseases which this paper describes are leaf blight, powdery mildew, shoot necrosis and sooty moulds which are rarely mentioned in local Croatian professional and scientific literature. These diseases appear mostly on leaves and shoots of olive and have not caused any major damages to olive cultivation in Croatia.
