Abstract

Wireworms start to appear in potato fields in late summer and feed on the potatoes until harvesting. Tubers were drilled, with narrow hallways diameter of 5 mm, which can be empty or they contain wireworms. Larvae of cutworms feed on the plants by cutting their stem and consuming potato tubers that are shallow in the soil. These pests are controlled preventively before or during planting. When selecting the active substances farmers should strictly follow the instructions and use only those who have permission in potatoes.
