Abstract

Te paper starts by placing the concept of sexual diversity in the broader context of intercultural education, with an emphasis on the importance of linking diversity in education with the concept of social justice. Te goal is briefly illustrated in the presentation of the development of education directed towards identifying and promoting diversity as richness, whose discursive expanding the issue of discrimination based on sex and gender identity has become an inevitable part of contemporary critical pedagogical discourse. Special attention is focused on pushing the development of anti-discrimination dictionaries or concepts in the service of detection, analysis and criticism of oppressive educational practice. Afer a review of possible defnition of homophobia and its detailed the problematic as a form of structural social injustice, the author shall be addressed to its associated problems of students, teachers and parents that their sexual and gender identities questioning heteronormativity of the education system, while in the concluding section gives contribute to further deconstruction intercultural homophobia in Croatian schools.
