Abstract

The irony field of figurative structure of poetry of Jozefina Dautbegović is modeled in this paper. It is concluded that irony is the main figurative structure that is inherent to the whole discoursive field in the model of intertextual irony (in relation to Croatian oral literature and main topoi of love poetry), irony related to Other, while Other means the whole outtextual reality in which the subject of this poetry is immersed in and it is produced by accepting the codes of Christian morality and Enlightenment literature and irony as an instrument of sublimation of the subject 's traumatic war experience. The typology of irony is related to the writer’s poetics and its function and importance are explicated for her whole poetry which brings the possibility of elaboration of the poetic model of her poetry in the future.
