Abstract
On the Križevci – Koprivnica ‒ State border railway line, 33 structures of traffic infrastructure are to be constructed. The new line has been designed mostly along the path of the existing one, but in some places, it was moved in order to meet new track geometry requirements. One of the main requirements in designing traffic infrastructure structures is to suspend the course of railway traffic as little as possible. Inventory was taken of existing bridges, they were categorized and their condition was assessed. The assessment of repair costs and reinforcement of the existing bridges, building of a new bridge for the second track, has shown in all cases that it is best to construct a new bridge for both tracks. The train path contains a total of 33 structures, 10 passenger subways and six smaller bridges and viaducts, which replace the existing ones. For these structures, reinforced concrete framework type structure with a closed or open form was chosen. Overpasses over the railway line are integral reinforced concrete structures or, if this regards an overpass over an existing line, continuous structures from precast girders braced with a reinforced concrete slab. The largest standard structures have a scope of 25 m and 42 m. At the end of the train path, there is a new bridge over Drava River with the greatest scope on the mentioned section. Due to bad soil characteristics, all structures, besides passenger subways, have a deep foundation on piles.
