Methods for determination of radioactivity in the atmosphere

Abstract

A historical review is given of the origin of radioactive contamination in the atmosphere. The distribution of the fission products after a nuclear explosion and the principles of different methods for the measurement of radioactivity in the atmosphere are presented.
