Abstract

The author analyzes the famous ancient travelogue of the Egeria pilgrimage, probably due to the beginning of the 5th century. Represents the writer and warns of the issues of filing the files, content, and editions. Special attention is paid to the practice of catechumens. Egerian descriptions and observations of the place, time, and contents of the cross and post-baptism lesson are valuable data for studying the history of the sacrament of the cross, but they are also a signpost for today's Christians by directing today's catechetical practice.
