Abstract
Three cases of acute oral poisoning with zinc phosphide are described, none of them with fatal issue. The following symptoms were observed: vomiting (without diarrhea), sense of chilling, epigastric and thoracic pains. In one of the patients a severe toxic lesion of the liver, proved by histological findings of necrotic and degenerative changes in the liver was observed. After a radical symptomatic treatment complete restitution occured after 20 days (verified by bioptic findings). ln another patient an acute coronary insulfficiency, which lasted only one day, was verified electrocariographically.
