Abstract
The administration of vitamin C, in the amounts used, inhibits completely the typical hypertrophy of the adrenals in white rats exposed to humid heat (34°-36° C). It is suggested that the resistance of these animals is higher than of the untreated. The possible mechanism of action of vitamin C is briefly discussed.
