Abstract

The paper deals with a question of existence of time from the philosophical and physical point ofview, respectively. A link between the direction in time and entropy is emphasized. In particular, the paper questions the link between McTaggart time series with certain physicalaspects of time as it is, for example, a correlation with Einstein’s theory of relativity. McTaggartconclusion on non-existence of time is discussed in detail, thus providing a proof for thisphilosophically obtained result to be a consequence of the application of onto-logical contradictioin adjecto rule of rationality. Finally, the paper mentions some recent philosophical and physicalhypotheses on the nature of time.
