Abstract

This topic review summarizes epidemiology,
the clinical signifi cance, diagnostic tests and therapeutic
approach in patients with diseases of the gallbladder. Special
attention is given to the diagnostic procedures and treatment
options for patients with symptomatic gallstones, cholecystitis,
gallbladder polyps and gallbladder carcinoma.
