Surgery remains the only radical treatment for colorectal cancer. However, with introduction of multidisciplinary teams and availability and advancement in all modes of treatments (surgical technique, technology and perioperative care, sistemic therapy and radiotherapy protocols), in more advanced stages the better disease control is achieved.
