Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine an incidence of negative behaviour, the reasons of its existence, as well as some responses on investigated behaviours. 1354 nurses and medical assistants took part in the study. Half of the subjects complained on negative experiences, while most subjects complained of work colleagues and family members. The results of the research imply that the most frequent forms of behaviour in nurses and medical assistants are: disparage, yelling, insulting, ignoring of one’s opinion and attitudes,
making some team members privileged, commenting of one’s personal life, not securing a replacement for the absent workers and a negative attitude towards their work. The results of the study also show that negative behaviour results in stressful work conditions and organizational problems, as well as lack of communication skills.
