ON THE SPEECH OF IVAN KUKULJEVIC SAKCINSKI IN THE CROATIAN PARLIAMENT

Abstract

Ivan Kukuljevic Sakcinski held a speech in Croatian on May 2nd 1843 in the Croatian Parliament. It was the first time that a member of the Croatian Parliament
spoke Croatian in this institutions in spite of the fact that the official language at that time was Latin. In the article the author also gives an interpretation
of the principal thoughts in the above mentioned speech.
