Abstract

The text deals wi th bioethical contents in simple forms of folk creativity. In Dubovec it was done by recording and conveying life messages. These messages were embroidered in hand on canvass objects of common use, copied and re-written for generations in a row. The vocabulary is very simple and easy to remember and the let-ters are graphically of mixed styles. The paper discusses bioethical values of embroidered mes-sages about families, human unity, nature, living and non-living world. As they were daily exposed, they were thought of as modest ornaments or, even more, bioethical corners where rules on love, loy-alty, faithfulness, diligence, common wisdom and goodness were kept.
