Abstract

A floristic and vegetation study of the islet Mlin (Pakleni Archipelago near island of Hvar, Central Dalmatia, surface area of 1.1 ha) resulted in the finding of 39 taxa and three plant associations belonging to halophytic vegetation, macchia and garigues. The islet is not a subject to any human interference, so the floristic diversity and vegetation structure are the result of the geographical position, exposure to the influences of the open sea (wind, waves) and non-anthropogenic stochastic events.
