Abstract

Oral contraceptive pills are thought to lower the risk of numerous conditions in gynecology, for instance pelvic inflammatory disease, anemia and extrauterine pregnancy. Some of these standings are challenged nowadays, and therefore with the comment we present a case of a patient who became pregnant with an extrauterine pregnancy while regularly taking oral contraceptive pills.
