Abstract

The economically most important viruses on summer squash (zucchini) in Croatia are cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV) and watermelon mosaic virus (WMV). Economic losses in field-grown zucchini are increasingly common in the Neretva Valley. This article describes the sanitary status of zucchini in the Neretva Valley in relation to virus diseases in 2020, the causes of occurrence of virus diseases in cucurbit cultivation and measures to control virus diseases in cucurbits.
