SIMULATION OF VEHICLE HANDLING DURING ABS BRAKING IN SIMULINK

Abstract
This paper describes a simple ABS (anti-lock brake system) system used on conventional vehicles and describes its function. Braking of the ABS system at a certain vehicle speed is simulated in MATLAB's Simulink and the obtained results are compared with the results of simulation of the same vehicle model without ABS braking system. Three simulations of braking on three different surfaces on which the vehicle drives were made to show the role of ABS braking systems in vehicles.
This paper also describes how to build such a system with Simscape blocks and other blocks used in Simulinka. Based on the conducted simulation, various graphs and data are created that show the results of the simulated braking.
