Abstract

Football as one of the world's most popular sports has a multitude of fans. Therefore, football matches are the subject of daily analysis, whether it is about strategy, tactics, or various other statistical indicators of the game. Analyzes are used by clubs to improve their team’s game, but also to uncover potential shortcomings of a rival team. Analyzes are also used for the purpose of improving an individual's game, as well as when buying (transferring) players with specific characteristics. From all the above, it can be concluded that quality analysis of football matches is crucial for clubs to be informed in time about the real situation and condition of the team, and to be able to make the best decisions in time. Therefore, we decided to develop a new system for monitoring and analysis of football matches, which is able to provide users with an additional set of statistical analyzes by retrieving and processing data from publicly available services. They provide insight into some of the currently unavailable aspects of football matches played, which can help football clubs make even better strategic and tactical decisions.
