Abstract

This paper describes the use of Hot Standby Routing Protocol (HSRP) in example of Local Area Network (LAN). HSRP protocol offers network redundancy at third OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) network layer, the use alternate network devices equipment within LAN respectively. The use of HSRP protocol was demonstrated on Cisco network routers.
