Abstract

The transformation of the contour line map into the stereo drawing is discussed. An analogue solution is already given in BuL 1961, No 1. This solution is the inversion of the stereo measurement at the stereo apparatus Multiplex. Today we can do it without this analogue equipment by using existent up-to-date digital equipment such as digitiser, computer and digital plotting table. The mathematical model is given for the transformation of the orthogonal projection of the contour lines into the central projection, inherent to the stereo drawing, respecting the conditions of the stereoscopy and the possibilities of the stereoscopes which are provided for. The useful application of the stereo drawings is primarily expected in the study of the geomorphology. One can state the great and essential difference in the apperception of configuration by observing one times only one half image and other times the (whole) stereo image.
