On the Erratic Use of Variants in Papers on Linguistics

Abstract

The paper focuses on variants and their classification at different levels of linguistic structures.
The erratic use of variants in papers on linguistics is revealed. A suggestion is put forward that
the problem of erratic use of variants in the scientific functional style of the Croatian standard
language should be solved.
