Abstract

Throughout the year 2023, a study of the vascular flora of the Jakuševec area, which belongs to the city district Novi Zagreb - East, was conducted. In total, 239 vascular plant taxa and eight bryophyte species were recorded in the research area. The most represented families were Poaceae, Asteraceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae and Cichoriaceae. The most common life forms were hemicryptophytes and therophytes, and the most recorded taxa belong to the eurasiatic flora element and cosmopolits. The species Equisetum hyemale was recorded, which is vulnerable (VU) according to IUCN criteria. The species Anacamptis pyramidalis, Cephalanthera damasonium, Dianthus barbatus and Equisetum hyemale are strictly protected. The research
identified 17 invasive species, of which the Asteraceae family contributed the highest number (6).
