Abstract

Soybean is an important crop in agricultural production in Croatia. It is grown on an average of 80,000 ha, with an average yield of 2.1-3.0 t/ha of dry grain. In addition to the soil fertilization, to achieve high and stable yields, it is necessary to apply foliar fertilizers. In soybean foliar fertilization, biostimulators are used against stressful conditions (such as high temperature or drought or when applying herbicides) and phosphorus and boron before flowering. The special microelements, molybdenum (Mo) and cobalt (Co), which are important for the development of nodules on soybean roots and better nitrogen fixation are also used by foliar fertilization of soybean. With the correct application of foliar fertilizers, it is possible to ensure high yields of soybeans and achieve a good income in production.
