The new determination of the L-shell fluorescence yield of krypton*

Abstract

Applying the proportional counter technique with internal gaseous fluorescer the average L - shell fluorescence yield of krypton was redetermined as ω_L= 0.021 ± 0.002. The result is compared with the theoretical value obtained for the same primary vacancy distribution.
