Abstract

In the Vinodol region the revival of the agricultural production has been approached, based upon the available natural resources and comparative advan tages, with which there is a wish to develop a program of health food production, which is becoming increasingly sought after in the tourist environment and which gives new possibilities of employment and better quality of life for the local population. Ambitious programs have been started, such as the renewal of vineyards, planting of figs, olives and other fruits, programs of honey production and medicinal herbs collection. The initiator is the Cooperative Plodovi Vinodola, and the program founded on the family agriculture.
