Unpublished Croatian Passion Poem Ja, Marija, glasom zovu from the end of 15th century

Abstract

The Latin transcription of the Glagolitic text of the unpublished Croatian passion poem Ja, Marija, glasom zovu from Berčić’s codex number 5, from the end of 15th century and analyses of its literary form, literal-historical value, graphic-orthographic and linguistic characteristics are provided in the paper. Linguistic characteristics of the text Ja, Marija, glasom zovu confirm its provenience from Zadar or its surroundings. It is written in a literary language based on the Middlechakawian (i-e) dialect.
