Abstract
Current political practice cannot be separated from the self representation and
a congruent political option presented on TV. Such presentation of political messages
originates from 1960 when J.F. Kennedy and R.M. Nixon had their TV debate. From
then on, television has become an unavoidable mean in the promotion of political
messages, and even more importantly, candidates for political positions. The
information that the American presidential candidates spend up to $100 million for
their political campaign, and that most of that money is spent on TV commercials and
ads clearly show the importance of television publicity.
