Abstract
Is it allowed, in the name of an ideologically conceived (dreamed-through) pacifism, to be at all events against the war? Is there a possibility of moral justification of "just" or, better said, "justified", "defensive" war? In the shadow of these questions, the author endeavours to give critical evaluation of so called absolute pacifism, reflecting well-known sentences of "bellum-iu-stum" theory (Augustin, Thomas Aquinas, Suarez...). He is also seeking an adequate supplement for the same theory in the statements of Council Vatican II and of recent Popes. In this context and regarding the concret situation of Croatia at war, the author points out the political-humanistic-moral disability and failures of so-called "pacifist movements" determining them as mere ideologizing.
