Abstract

Results obtained during the study of shotcrete reinforced with macrosynthetic fibres are presented, and advantages of using macrosynthetic fibres rather than steel fabric are described. This first of all concerns properties relating to the post-cracking bearing capacity and energy absorption. In addition to technical advantages, significant financial and time-related savings have also been realized. The testing presented in the paper was conducted in 2009 at a test section in the Puljani Tunnel using macrosynthetic fibres type Enduro 600.
