Filozofski savjetnik (Philosophical Counselor) (ISSN 3102-5528) is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Croatian Association for Philosophical Practice. The journal appears four times a year in print form and is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary dialogue between the humanities and biomedical sciences. Its purpose is to provide an academic platform for exploring the theoretical and practical intersections of philosophy and mental health, while simultaneously promoting the popularization of philosophical expertise beyond narrow academic frameworks, particularly in the areas of care, support, and the cultivation of life harmony as a working virtue. The journal's primary scope covers philosophical practice and applied ethics, the philosophy of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, the phenomenology of psychopathology and the philosophy of health, the phenomenology of the lifeworld and the body, and biomedical humanities, alongside metaphilosophical research into the nature, methods, and limits of philosophy itself in relation to clinical and practical application. Beyond these domains, the editorial board equally welcomes contributions from philosophical theology, religious studies, philosophical anthropology, bioethics, neuroethics, military ethics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of medicine, narrative medicine, medical humanities, existential psychology, philosophical pedagogy, social philosophy, philosophy for children, disability philosophy, and the philosophy of care. Manuscripts are published in several categories, including original scientific articles, preliminary communications, review articles and essays, and professional articles and essays grounded in practical disciplinary knowledge. The journal also publishes book reviews and critical discussions, as well as philosophical travel writing in the Logopis section. Every submitted manuscript undergoes double blind peer review. Publication follows a fully open access model, the so called platinum model, under which neither authors nor readers bear any costs. There are no submission fees, no article processing charges, no review fees, and no publication fees, and all published content remains permanently and freely accessible to the public. Authors retain full copyright over their work, while the journal retains the right of first publication, all under a Creative Commons 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). Manuscripts are submitted by email to filozofskisavjetnik@proton.me, in Microsoft Word format (.docx or .doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf); documents produced in open source tools such as LibreOffice or OpenOffice are also accepted. For accurate rendering of Greek text and logical symbols, authors may use LaTeX. Text should be prepared in Times New Roman, 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing and full justification. The journal is published quarterly, and manuscript submission deadlines are May 4 for the first issue, August 4 for the second issue, November 4 for the third issue, and February 4 for the fourth and final issue of the volume. Manuscripts may be sent to the editorial office at any time during the year, with accepted work published in the next issue following the current submission deadline. The editorial board welcomes submissions from doctoral students and also accepts submissions from master's students, for whom it offers a mentoring approach, guiding less experienced authors toward a higher level of scholarly expression through constructive feedback. Preprint publication is permitted only after a manuscript has been peer reviewed and accepted for publication; preprints posted before review and acceptance are not permitted. Translations of previously published works are not currently accepted, as all submissions are expected to represent original contributions published for the first time. The journal is led by an editorial board headed by editor in chief Toma Gruica and deputy editor in chief Luka Janeš, along with a broader group of editorial board members and editorial associates. The journal's work is also overseen by an international scientific council composed of researchers and experts from universities and institutes in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and the United States, ensuring broad interdisciplinary and international insight into the review and editorial process.
