Geografski horizont is a journal that publishes professional papers in geography and geography-related scientific disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary papers. Paper themes mostly refer to Croatia. In addition, papers dealing with the current regional or global geographical themes may be submitted. Papers that give an overview of the contemporary knowledge within certain subdisciplines of geography are also welcome. Geografski horizont regularly publishes travelogues and methodical forums as support to teachers in their work. Regular contributions to the journal are Karta govori and Mrežni horizonti. Geografski horizont is the professional and informative journal of the Croatian geographical society and it has been continuously published since 1955. In the journal, one can also find information on the society's activities, such as reports of the National geography competition and participation in the International Geography Olympiad. Manuscripts are peer-reviewed and are generally published in Croatian. The journal is published biannually. Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia recommends Geografski horizont as an additional teaching literature to students and teachers.
