Sažetak

Discussion in this paper centres on certain changes that concern European migration in the contemporary situation of crisis. Analysis upholds the viewpoint that migrants' and emigration countries' possibilities are limited, and that their interests are not taken into consideration. This is clearly shown from the aspect of migration policy effect, by changes in the migration process and in the class structure of migrants. Characteristic changes in contemporary European migration are critically presented with regard to their economic, relatively free-choice, organized and temporary significance. Criticism is aimed at declared integration for migrants, at other aspects of the migration policies of immigration countries as well as the realisation of intended migration policies of emigration countries. We read of changes in adaptation and acculturation processes, of changes of diverse disjunctive processes, and especially of conflicts and controversies. Analysis is directed towards the incongruity within and between social processes. Since the crisis brings out class relations and deepens internal and interclass conflicts, these aspects of change in migration phenomena are also included in the discussion.
