Elements of performance in the creativity of Jozo Kljaković

Sažetak
The presence of new media in the interpretation of classical artwork in the 21-th century is increasingly gaining importance. The beginnings of artistic performance in Croatia can be known for 20-th of those years in the last centruy in the creativity of famous avant-garde artistic such as Traveler, Babić and Krleža. However, when we talk about elements of artistic performance over the peiod of 20 years of the last century it is necessary to mention Jozo Kljaković. This extremely versatile artist organizes performance very early, using all the elements of an artistic performance. The body becomes a medium that transmits messages that are transmitted to the recepient, i.e.viewers, making vizual theatralization. Jozo Kljaković used all the elements of modern performances in his work, in which, besides the bruch and canvas, he played with human bodies, creating an event. The space in wich the performance occurs is not necessary institutionalically artistic like the real time, but shows an event that acts in the present of that moment by assuming something outside of itself. In its projection, the event presents itself, reproduces and differs from other events by moving into the form of s single and one-time work. Performance art is always a performance for someone, an audience that recognizes and evaluates it as such, event if the audience is part of the performance.
