Innovation in Developing and Teaching the Management of Micro-mobility

Sažetak

Our paper presents teaching, learning, management, and recommendations for promoting the safe usage of micro vehicles, a trend in today’s traffic. However, since we do not know how to use new vehicles in our traffic, the trend of incidents, severe injuries, and even first deaths is quickly rising. Therefore, we are developing tools and good practice examples for promoting the safe usage of micro vehicles, such as e-scooters and e-bikes. We also provide results of our empirical study based on the Stanford Social Innovation Questionnaire, researching common mistakes when using micro vehicles and ways to help promote the safe usage of e-scooters. In conclusion, we provide recommendations for further research. We firmly believe that our educational and teaching change, fostered by innovations in learning, teaching process, and technology for learning, teaching, and curriculum development, can serve as a model for other countries grappling with the challenges of micro-mobility, thereby contributing to the global discourse on traffic safety.

Judita Peterlin, University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business

Judita Peterlin, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of management and organisational theory at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana. She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana. She is teaching the following courses: Foundations of Management and Organization, Management – English Track, Health Care Management, Strategic Leadership and Responsibility, and Advanced Management. Marko Grgurič, University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, Slovenia

Marko Grgurič is a student in the master's program in Tourism at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana. He graduated from the International Relations program at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana. His research interests are tourism flows, tourism destination management, and the micro-mobility of tourists at the destination. He participated in project Student innovative projects for social benefit – KREKAM and at youth conferences like the International Conference Balkan Dialogue 2020, the EU-EAEU forum. Mateja Dovjak, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia

Mateja Dovjak, PhD, is an associate professor at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and chair of buildings and construction complexes. She received a PhD in the Environmental Sciences postgraduate study program at the University of Nova Gorica, with the dissertation thesis “Individualization of personal space in a hospital environment.” Her main research interests are the design of healthy, comfortable, and sustainable buildings (ventilation and indoor air quality, thermal comfort, daylight, acoustics, ergonomics, and universal design).
