Brain Gym® is a program which we assess as stimulating for the development in four developmental areas: cognitive, socio-emotional, motor and communication development. The basic objective of this study was to determine whether and in what direction the selected exercises in this program affect the development of the child. The sample in three experimental group consisted of 70 children, and in three control groups were 67 children, from Kindergarten “Tratincica” in Zagreb. We compared the starting and final differences between the groups of subjects and the progress of children from the initial to the final state. We have found statistically significant progress in almost all subgroups of subjects in the desirable direction of development, but the results are equally to experimental and control groups. It is likely that the progress of children can be conditioned by factors other than Brain Gym® exercises, some of which are elaborated in details.
