About the Journal
Kairos: Evangelical Journal of Theology is a Croatian scientific journal that addresses biblical, theological and religious topics. Kairos publishes works in various disciplines: biblical studies, biblical theology, systematic theology, applied theology, church history and Christian ethics, as well as book reviews. With its content, Kairos intends to contribute a biblical and theological perspective to discussions in academia, church and society primarily in Croatian and European contexts, but also beyond.
Categorization: The journal is categorized as an A2 scientific journal (according to the Regulations on Requirements for the Appointment to Scientific Ranks) and publishes scientific papers that are categorized in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia.
Peer review: Kairos employs double blind review, where the reviewer remains anonymous throughout the process
First year of publication: 2007.
Frequency of Publication: The journal is published twice a year in the English.

Copyright and Fees: Kairos is a high-level open access journal, meaning that all content is immediately and freely available to anyone, anywhere and can be downloaded, printed, distributed, read, reused, self-archived and remixed (including commercially) without restriction, as long as the author and the original source are properly attributed according to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY).
Although Kairos is an open access journal, the copyright of all material published is owned by Kairos and the authors transfer all copyrights to the publisher.
Kairos does not charge article processing charges (APCs) or submission charges.
Kairos does not charge for subscription.
Self-Archiving Policy: The self-archiving policy is indexed at Sherpa/RoMEO where it is visible that the journal is following a blue level of self-archiving (it is allowed to deposit the publisher’s version of the paper). It is allowed to store the publisher's version of the work. Works published in the journal Kairos: Evangelical Journal of Theology may be stored in institutional and thematic repositories, ensuring links to the Hrčak website.
