About the Journal

Political Perspectives is a regional scholarly journal co-published by the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade and the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. The journal has a broad focus on political science and related disciplines, and the aim of the journal is to contribute to the development of the discipline of political science in South East Europe, but also to foster an interdisciplinary dialog in the region of South East Europe. We welcome submissions in any of the political science subfields, political theory, comparative politics, international relations, political economy, europeanization, democratization, political communication and media and politics. We are especially interested  in innovative approaches and broadening the horizons of the social science disciplines.

The journal was established in 2011. in cooperation between the two of the oldest political science departments in the region, The Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb and Belgrade with a view to create a wider academic public for research conducted and published in the mutually understandable languages of the region: Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian. It is financed by the two founding institutions, but the editors and the editorial board operate on voluntary basis. 

Political perspectives: journal for political research is published two (2) times a year (June and December).

Political Perspectives is an Open Access Journal. All issues of the journal Political Perspectives are available in open access and all the content of the journal may be used by individuals or institutional users free of charge. All users are permitted to read, save, photocopy, print, distribute, search and share portions or full texts of articles, reviews, book reviews and other content without asking for a consent or permission by the author or the publisher as long as they attribute the source in an appropriate manner.

The journal Political Perspectives does not charge authors to process or publish a paper. The journal doesn't have article processing charges (APCs), submission charges, review charges or any other charges asked in order to complete the publication process.

All manuscripts are being evaluated by the editorial board and then sent to double blind peer review. 

Our peer reviewers are both national and international.

First year of publication: 2011
